Food is getting better and better around Bakewell with pubs upgrading and changing hands. The Duchess of Devonshire has recently overseen the renovations of the Devonshire Arms at both Beeley and Pilsley and Lord Edward Manners of Haddon Hall has taken back the Peacock Hotel at Rowsley and re-furbished it. Rowleys at Baslow is an offshoot of the famous Michelin starred hotel, Fischers of Baslow Hall.
If you decide to eat in the cottage why not visit the Chatsworth Farm Shop at Pilsley to stock up (the Harrods of the north!)
